CE mark is the name for the set of specifications which govern electronic goods sold in Europe. The specifications provide strict guidelines that require industrial control devices to be immune to radio transmissions and electro-static discharge, as well as requirements governing the level of radio emissions from any electronic product. Most of the Technman Control-it range has been tested in an approved laboratory and gained CE mark. |
This is a legacy item that we no longer produce, but continue to support Atmel has created an exciting new range of 8051 microprocessors and derivatives using flash memory for program storage. They also designed this programmer to allow rapid programming of the microprocessors. We have laid out the circuit board and added some extra features such as a programming light, but have not touched the logic. The software available on our site is a copy of what is available directly from the Atmel site, but we are supplying a more user friendly front end with every programmer purchased. Here is a screen shot of the software. The Auto program function goes through the following sequence, Chip erase, program, verify and setting of security bits for the appropriate device and that all in under 8 seconds on an 8k processor. |

Where information needs to be transmitted between multiple devices at distances of up to 1.2 kilometers, remote from the computer, the RS485 protocol is able to achieve this economically using a 2 wire 'twisted pair' circuit. However it is necessary to convert the signal from RS485 protocol back to RS232 at the computer end. This is easily and economically achieved by the use of a Control-it 5002 protocol converter. |

The RS232 serial interface protocol is the only connection standard adhered to by all computer manufacturers. However RS232 is only able to operate effectively where the computer and the devices to be connected to it are situated within a few metres of each other.
